Mironenko began his artistic career as a member of the Mukhomor (Toadstool) group, one of the most significant phenomena of late Moscow Conceptualism. The group's member were artists, writers, musicians and performers, publishing manifestoes, hand-written books and even musical recordings. During perestroika, Mironenko presented notable independent artistic projects connected to the political situation. Later, he became a successful businessman, heading a company for construction, interior decoration and design. More recently, he has returned to art and continues to work as a designer in various artistic projects.
